It's been long determined that the first thing you have to do is get potential customers to feel they know you and trust you. This kind of trust is hard to come by because of the huge numbers of competitors in most niches, and the willingness of many of them to offer shady products and services with phony claims about their usefulness. However, there are still a number of ethical marketers who offer good value but they need to have a medium where they can show this. This is where webinars come in. For many of us, webinars have become our most reliable sales tool. Basically, a webinar is an online seminar to which you are invited by the product creators themselves or one of their affiliates.

If you've already been to a webinar, you know that it was scheduled for a specific day and time, and it was not a recorded presentation. The manner in which the presentation ordinarily goes is that the host shares lots of seemingly very valuable tools and/or information, all the while gaining trust and credibility. Some webinars have more than one person presenting based on their individual expertise and knowledge. Once the presenter has demonstrated his expertise and gained your trust, you can expect some form of special offer toward the end of the webinar.

One problem with a live webinar is finding a time that suits everyone, since you could be presenting to an international audience. It is possible to schedule more than once for the live event but nowadays it is typical to post a replay of the presentation for anyone who could not attend. To ascertain you still get a good attendance for the live event, you can provide something special for anyone who does are present during the live broadcast.

The idea of pre-recorded online seminars that can in essence be accessed at a time to suit the customer is relatively new to the webinar scene. While these do not benefit from live interaction, you can have these set up to sell for you on a continual basis without the need for you to be in attendance. Additionally, recording your webinar for later viewing permits altering or fixing any errors or problems before more people see it.

Bottom line: Devote time to learning a bit about how to do webinars -- your bottom line will reward you very well, rest assured.
