Things To Know Within Article Marketing

By Megan Forbes

Starting a blog for your online business is a great way to promote your leadership. Post thoughtful articles on your blog that show your thought, your integrity, humor, professional insights and your leadership. Talking about current trends in your industry will help customers and potential customers see that you are on top of things.

Write material that will stand the test of time. Don't write about things that will only hold true for right now. You want readers to be able to be engaged even if they look at material that you have written over a year ago. If they can read old material and still be satisfied, there is a higher chance that they will want to keep reading your new material.

Write yourself deep into your article. Including aspects of your personality and originality appeals to your audience more than a dryly written article pushing a product. Be honest with your writing, and let your own style shine through. Your readers will appreciate the effort, and are more likely to return.

Take advantage of social media along with its latest seo guidelines! Using your Facebook or Twitter accounts can be a great way to grab new readers. Simply post an update every time you publish a new article to get your followers' attention. You can even ask them to share your article with friends, in order to grow an even larger amount of eyes.

Avoid writing articles about subjects that bore you if at all possible. While you can cultivate and train your personal writing voice, you cannot control it completely. Boredom is one of the emotions that always seems to seep through, and readers are extremely sensitive to it. Articles about subjects you have no interest in will not be as valuable for marketing purposes as articles written about your passions.

Although articles written for marketing purposes definitely have ideal word counts, the middle of the first draft is not the place to worry about them. The author's own sense should dictate how long the article is when it is first written. Articles can always be trimmed for length during the editing process; extremely long pieces can even be split and crafted into two articles.

Keep your article lengths between 400-600 words. Articles longer than this are too long to hold the readers' interest and shorter articles don't provide enough information. Having articles with the right length will keep your readers interested. Extremely long articles are likely to bore readers and make them move on faster. For this reason, articles that are clear and to the point, are best.
